About us

Desktops.computer covers one thing properly: computers that stay on a desk. Towers, all-in-ones, mini PCs and custom builds — tested the way people actually use them.

How we test

Every machine spends at least a week as someone's main computer. We measure noise under sustained load, check how easy it is to open and upgrade, and note what the spec sheet quietly leaves out.

Independence

No manufacturer sees a review before it goes live, and no pick is sold. If nothing is worth recommending in a category, we say so.
